路面清掃報告「新規利用者との出会い」/ Road Cleaning Report "Meeting New Users"

休日だった11月24日、赤穂市交通公園の路面清掃は、新しい利用者の方々と出会う事が出来た喜びの中、公園の外周路約25㎡の清掃をしました。
On November 24th, a national holiday, we cleaned the roads at Ako City Traffic Park, cleaning approximately 25 square meters of the park's outer path, enjoying the joy of meeting new users.

『新規利用の方々/ New Users 』

2023年3月、路面全体に小石や砂が乗り、縁石部や舗装の割れ目には土砂が溜まって芝や草が茂って、安全に練習は出来なかった交通公園の路面清掃を清掃を始めて1年と半年余り、初めて、利用に訪れた6名もの方に会う事が出来ました。清掃を完了したエリアが増えた事が影響していると思いますが、今年に入ってから、時々、親子で自転車の練習に利用される方々は見掛けたのですが、オートバイの練習の為に訪れる方は少なかったので、今回は記念の一日になりました。

In March 2023, the entire road surface at Traffic Park was covered in pebbles and sand, and dirt and debris accumulated in the curbs and cracks in the pavement, causing grass and weeds to grow, making it impossible to practice safely. It's been over a year and a half since we began cleaning the road surface at Traffic Park, and for the first time, we were able to meet six users. This may be due to the increased number of areas cleaned, but since the beginning of this year, we've occasionally seen parents and children using the park for bicycle practice, but few people have visited for motorcycle practice, so this was a memorable day.

『外周路の清掃 / Clean the Outer Road 』

今回も公園の外周路の清掃をしました。
草や土砂だけではなく、路面上の小さな小石も綺麗に取り除いている為、一日の作業で清掃できる広さは限られていますが、確実に安全な路面状況を目指して進めています。

This time, we cleaned the outer perimeter path of the park again.
Since we were removing not only grass and dirt but also small pebbles from the road surface, the area that can be cleaned in one day was limited, but we were working toward ensuring safe road conditions.

『縁石部の土砂と草 / Dirt and Grass on the Curb 』

外周路は公園を取り巻く草地から土砂や草が一番多く侵入してくる場所です。しかも、一度清掃しても、暫くすると、再び侵入してくる事は経験済みですから、多めに土砂と草の撤去をしています。縁石から約10㎝離れた地点から土砂と草を撤去しているのです。これで、再度侵入するまでの期間を長くする事が出来るでしょう。

The outer road is the area where the most dirt and grass invades from the grassy areas surrounding the park. Furthermore, we have experienced that even if we clean once, they will come back after a while, so we remove a lot of dirt and grass. We remove dirt and grass from a point about 10 cm away from the curb. This will hopefully lengthen the time before they come back.

『公園内部の縁石部 / Curbs inside the Park 』

外周部と較べると酷くないのですが、公園内部の縁石部も土砂が溜まり草が茂りやすい場所です。そして、多くの場合、縁石と路面との隙間に草の根が張っていて、その根の働きによって路面の舗装が浸食され、崩壊している場所も少なくありません。清掃で出来る事は多くありませんが、その隙間で張った地下茎を可能な限り除去しています。

Although not as bad as the perimeter, the curbs inside the park are also prone to soil accumulation and grass overgrowth. Furthermore, grass roots often grow in the gaps between the curb and the road surface, causing erosion and collapse in many areas. While there's not much we can do by cleaning, we are removing as many of the rhizomes that have grown in these gaps as possible.

『今回の成果 / Results of this Cleanup 』

以上の清掃で外周路を約8m 余り、約 25㎡のエリアがより安全になりました。
The above cleanup measures have made the outer perimeter path safer by approximately 8 meters, covering an area of approximately 25 square meters.

『次回の目標 / Next Target 』

次回は、今回のエリアに続く外周路を約 25㎡清掃する予定です。
Our next cleaning goal is to clean approximately 25m2 of the perimeter, which continues from the area cleaned this time.
