路面清掃報告「ロータリーの二日目」/ Road Cleaning Report: "Day Two in the Rotary Area"

4月6日、赤穂市の交通公園の路面清掃作業は、路面が最も傷んでいる「ロータリーエリア」の清掃二日目になり、早速に大きな浸食が顔を出しました。

On April 6th, the road cleaning work at Ako City's traffic park continued for the second day, focusing on the "rotary area," where the road surface is most damaged. Significant erosion was immediately apparent.

『草に浸食される路面 / Road Surface Erotion by Grass 』

多くの人にとって理解できないのが草で路面は浸食される事です。実際、僕も、この公園で目にするまで、舗装路面が草に浸食されて土に変わる事実を知りませんでした。恐らく、根から出る根酸と根が成長して太くなる際の圧力によるものでしょう。では、今回の「ロータリーエリア」で、浸食されて舗装路面が無くなっている場所を見て下さい。

Many people find it difficult to understand how grass can erode road surfaces. In fact, I myself was unaware of this phenomenon until I witnessed it in this park. It's likely due to root acid released from the roots and the pressure exerted as the roots grow and thicken. Now, please look at the areas in the "rotary area" where the paved surface has disappeared due to erosion.

「ロータリーエリア」でこんなに大きな路面破壊が起きた原因は、使用される頻度が低かったので草たちの天国になった為だと思われます。そして、ロータリーエリアには今回と同様な浸食が多くの残っているので、清掃完了まで残り 8～10日ほどかかりそうです。

The reason for such extensive road surface damage in the "rotary area" is likely that its low usage frequency created a haven for grass. Since there is still much erosion similar to this in the rotary area, it will likely take another 8-10 days to complete the cleaning.

『今回の成果 / Results of This Session 』

今回は、浸食された舗装路面から土砂だけでなく、草の地下茎の除去も可能な限り行なって、約31㎡のエリアを清掃完了しました。

This time, we removed not only soil and debris from the eroded paved surface, but also grass rhizomes as much as possible, completing the cleaning of an area of approximately 31 square meters.

『次回の目標 / Goals for Next Time 』

そして、次回は「ロータリーエリア」の 3日目、中央の円形部分に繋がる4本の通路の内の 1本です。画像でもわかる通り、長年放置され続けた結果でしょう、路面には砂利や土砂が浮いていて、浸食破壊された舗装路面が多い事もあり、時間は掛かりますが、間違いなく、今よりもずっと安心して練習できるエリアになるでしょう違いありません。

Next time, we will be working on the "rotary area" for the third day, focusing on one of the four pathways leading to the central circular section. As you can see in the image, the surface is covered with loose gravel and soil, likely due to years of neglect. While it will take time, it will undoubtedly become a much safer area for practice than it is now.
