“アイデアコンテスト” に喜びはあるか？ / Is there any joy in the “idea contest”?

転倒せず、自動運転に対応するオートバイの研究成果。
現在のオートバイの構造やメカニズムが究極の姿とは思わないが、自律して転倒しないこれら自動制御機構が最適解だとは思わない。研究者にとっての “アイデアコンテスト” 発表会にしか見えない。

自律走行させる為、ステムアングルを可変式にして自動制御行ない、リアホイールも自動制御でステア（舵角制御）させ、その上、何等かのジャイロ効果を生み出す機構を内蔵させている姿は、オートバイの “美点” である軽い重量と操縦性を奪い、もはやライダーの意のままに操作できる乗り物ではない。

仮に、「転倒しない」機能に拘るのであれば、「三輪オートバイ」に制御された “リーン機構” を組み込めば良い。敢えて “二輪” に拘っている理由が全く理解できない。

I do not think that the current motorcycle structure and mechanism are the ultimate form, but I do not think that these automatic control mechanisms that do not fall over autonomously are the optimal solution. It can only be seen as an “idea contest” for researchers.

In order to run autonomously, the stem angle is variable and automatically controlled, the rear wheel is also automatically steered (rudder angle control), and on top of that, it has a built-in mechanism that creates some kind of gyro effect. It's no longer a vehicle that can be controlled at will by the rider, stripping it of its "beauty" of light weight and manoeuvrability.

If we were to stick to the "prevent falling" function, we could incorporate a controlled "lean mechanism" into the "three-wheeled motorcycle." I don't understand the reason why I dare to stick to "two wheels".
