4/1 ～ 4/7 の一週間の全世界での新規感染者数は一日あたりの平均で約 59.5 万人となり、ここ4週間以上連続で続いている増加傾向は止まらず拡大しています。

2月中旬には 30万人/日 以下に収まっていたにも関わらず、一月余りで 2倍近くにまで増えた原因は、フランスなど欧州で確認されている通り “変異株” の感染者率の高まりと、“変異株” の重症化率の高さなどウイルスの特性変化が原因と思われます。
既に、世界各国の研究者達は研究を行ない、互いに研究結果の共有を進めていますが、各国政府はこの “変異株” に関する情報を分かりやすく国民に告知して、自ら積極的に対処する意識を高める政策が必要です。
世界で共有する情報を公開し続ける事によって、不安を煽ったり楽観的な見通しをする偽情報の拡散を防ぎ、危機感を共有してウイルスに対応する国民、市民が増えていくと信じています。
