今回の路面清掃は、前回のエリアに隣接していて、他のエリアと比較して損傷の少ないエリアという事もあり、50㎡ を超える広さの清掃になりました。
This time, the road surface cleaning covered an area exceeding 50 square meters, as it was adjacent to the previously cleaned area and less damaged compared to other areas.
『 土砂は危険です / Dirt is Dangerous 』
オートバイに乗った事のない人には理解できないでしょうが、オートバイにとって、路面上の小石や砂は転倒の原因になる存在で、まして、それらが厚く積もった土砂は大変に危険な存在です。だから、自転車とオートバイの練習を行なう為の施設・交通公園の路面から土砂を取り除く事はとても大切な事です。
Those who have never ridden a motorcycle may not understand this, but for motorcyclists, small stones and sand on the road surface can cause falls, and thick layers of these, such as dirt and sand, are extremely dangerous. Therefore, removing dirt and sand from the road surface of traffic parks, facilities used for practicing cycling and motorcycling, is very important.
『 路面の亀裂 / Pavement Cracks 』
アスファルト舗装には寿命があります。一般道路の様な交通量はなく、大型トラックなど重量車は走らない交通公園でも、直射日光や雨風に晒されて、夏の高温や冬の低音や凍結によって劣化が進んでいます。それらを補修する為に部分的な舗装のやり直しが何度か行なわれていますが、その新旧の舗装の継ぎ目が溝になっている箇所があります。また、同じ舗装の路面でも、柔軟性が失われた影響か、裂け目が出来て亀裂になっている箇所もあります。そんな溝や亀裂には土が溜まりやすく、そこから植物たちが繁茂して舗装路面を破壊していくのを防ぐために、溝や亀裂から可能な限り土砂を取り除いています。
Asphalt pavement has a lifespan. Even in traffic parks, where there is no traffic volume like on public roads and heavy vehicles such as large trucks do not pass through, the road deteriorates due to exposure to direct sunlight, rain and wind, high summer temperatures, and low winter temperatures and freezing. Partial repaving has been done several times to repair this, but there are places where the joints between the old and new pavement have become grooves. Furthermore, even on the same paved surface, there are areas where cracks and fissures have formed, likely due to a loss of flexibility. Soil tends to accumulate in these grooves and cracks, and to prevent plants from proliferating and damaging the paved surface, we remove as much soil and debris as possible from these grooves and cracks.
『 今回の成果 / Results of This Session 』
今回は、約 4時間半の作業で、約52㎡ を清掃し、除去した土砂の量が 40リットルコンテナ 3杯分でした。
This time, the work took about 4.5 hours to clean approximately 52 square meters, removing three 40-liter containers worth of soil and debris.
『 ボラが跳ぶ交通公園 / Traffic Park where Mullet Jump! 』
この交通公園は、四季それぞれの季節ごとに、様々な鳥や虫たちが鳴く声が響き、花たちが咲き、この季節には、隣を流れる川の川面から数多くのボラたちが跳びはねる姿と音を一日中楽しむ事ができるなど、自然環境にとても恵まれた公園です。
This traffic park is blessed with a rich natural environment; the sounds of various birds and insects fill the air in each season, flowers bloom, and during this season, visitors can enjoy the sight and sound of numerous mullet leaping from the nearby river all day long.
『 次回の目標 / Goals for Next Time 』
次回は、今回とは異なり、作業負荷の大きなエリアになります。川の氾濫によって、過去に何度か路面が水没した際の影響と思われる、大きな土砂溜まりがあるエリアの清掃へと進みます。縁石に沿って厚く土砂が溜まり、路面には黄色く危険な土砂が広がっています。このエリアを安全にしなくてはなりません。
Next time, we will be tackling a different area with a greater workload. We will be cleaning an area with large deposits of sediment, likely a result of past flooding of the road surface due to river overflows. Thick layers of sediment have accumulated along the curbs, and dangerous yellow sediment is spread across the road surface. This area must be made safe.
